The McNair Scholars Program prepares qualified undergraduates for entrance into PhD programs in diverse fields of study to ultimately increase the diversity of the professoriate.
Eligibility:
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Have U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence
- Have between 55 - 80 credits (or at least 2 years before you graduate);
- AND Are able to be classified as either:
- First-generation college student meeting certain income requirements AND/OR
- Member of an underrepresented group
Application Requirements:
Complete the online application which includes:
- Personal statement
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Unofficial Transcript
